strumm
I have read that there are upcoming books to be released, including an updated Fundamentals book. Is there any time frame on those?

strumm
Will this be an update to Fundamentals including error fixes and version 3 changes? Or will this be an entirely different book?

david
When will Julio Herrlein's book be released?
JulioHerrlein
I think it will be the next one, David. Hope you like it ! Best ! david
david
personally I think book 1 is great! but really too complex for me. I give up quite quickly because it's too far from what I do in music. I will wait patiently for your book and I'm sure I will like it! Best! JulioHerrlein
strumm
I find even the basic documentation in general gets too complex too quickly with not enough explanation. I would also like to see a step by step "True Basics" book that is organized in a linear fashion using only what you have been taught previously in the book. eboats
I'm looking forward to the 2nd book to see more examples ( since seeing examples in a musical context is important). I really enjoy the 1st book. At first, it was a bit daunting but I continue to revisit it and understand it better. Personally I find books and the function documentation/examples more useful than videos, since I can browse and easily review the written details periodically. For the function documentation, I would like to sometimes see clearer explanations of the arguments and what they do. It would also be helpful to have the documentation on the web ( like most other music software ) so I can browse and learn when I'm not on a computer/tablet/phone where I have OM installed.
