In a previous post it was mentioned that MIDI import would be supported in 2.0. Is this still true?

Hello I'm closed to buy v1.3 but I'm interested by v1.4 new features. Could you please explain how license works regarding upgrades ? Will I have free upgrade to v1.4, 1.5, and coming ones ? If not, what is the average cost per year for and up-to-date user ? Thanks !

Hi, I have OpusModus 1.2.23428 and am considering the upgrade to 1.3. It asks for a license key, but I can find it in the application itself (Help, About, Register, etc) or in other common places, such as $HOME/Library/Application Support, etc. What's the best way for me to get my license? Thanks! Paul M. Hot diggity dawg-- found the license email from 2015! It's safely stored away now 🙂 In case I didn't, is there a recovery process?

Hi, Is it still possible to upgrade/crossgrade from Symbolic Composer to Opusmodus? I finally saved me up some funds to get my official OM licence, but I don't see the upgrade/discount option anymore. I fear the worst, but thought I might ask anyway! Thanks in advance for the reply 🙂 - Jor

Hi Everyone, I've been testing Opusmodus a few hours today and so far I really love it, I feel pretty comfortable with the language due to my background with SCOM and I've already found a lot of improvements, such as the excellent IDE, the docs and the window management. I do have a few questions though that I couldn't find an immediate answer to; - Can Opusmodus compile a project to a DAW, say Logic or Reaper? (I really hope so! This one is pretty essential for me) - Can OM send MIDI CC data and is there/will there be support for OSC data? Are CC messages set per note or are they truly separate events? - How many simultaneous MIDI channels can OM send? …

Hello, I've noticed that there are a lot of great video and text resources for learning Opusmodus. However, I find that I generally learn more with a comprehensive hands-on experience under the guidance of an instructor who can discuss my questions with me. I live in New York City and have searched online for any local training or resources and haven't found anything. I'm posting this in case anyone on the forum might be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks! Tom

I've been following this project with great interest! A few questions about the operation and future of the programme: 1. How does one deal with sending things like controller values to things like 'filter cutoff' in a synthesiser, for example? I assume just MIDI CC, but how is this represented in code and in notation? If I wanted to control things like 'effects switching', is there some way that this is displayed? 2. Is there a way to process MIDI input? For example, if I wanted to have a programme like Csound or SuperCollider tracking the pitch of live instrument and send it as MIDI to Opusmodus for the language to respond to live, is this possible? 3. Is…

Dear Opusmodus developers, Congratulations on your software! This is some nice algorithmic composition system. What I like in particular is that you make algorithmic transformation of music more strait forward compared to previous systems (and I used quite a lot of them). Your new music representation format OMN represents the different "dimensions" of music (rhythm, pitches, ...) together in a rather simple way, which makes it more easy to process such multi-dimensional data. I already have many concrete questions, after playing around with the system for several hours now, but I better post these separately. (I am not quite sure always what the right sub-forum would b…
