Live Coding Instrument

Live coding

  1. Dear Friends, How to have multiple instances of Live Coding in Windows Machines ? I´m trying to make this happen even from different files, but the ps expression always open the live coding in the main navigator window. Thanks ! Happy 2024 ! (ps 'gm :afromenu1 (list (make-omn :pitch (gen-loop 120 (rnd-pick (integer-to-pitch (gen-integer -29 43))):seed 269615) :length (gen-repeat 120 '(s s)))) :tempo 80 :output :live-coding )

Hi! Sorry for being so annoying with all those questions ... 🙂 Is there a way to play different scores in Live Coding mode and get them synchronised? I'm playing different scores with individual instruments at the same tempo, and it's pretty difficult to launch each score in time with the others ... Thanks!

Hi! I have completely basic question for live coding. If i understand correctly, whole code for live code should be wrapped in (progn), and after any change i make I have to evaluate this block? There is no way that Opusmodus would play changed version after loop? best regards, VIli

  4. Can someone clarify the procedure for loading a pre-compiled MIDI file into 'Live Coding Instrument'? Documentation states: "The live-coding function can start by loading a pre-compiled midi-file..." and from under "Arguments" states: "file-or-midi an integer (outer interval-size)"....but that's all there is to documentation for MIDI files??? There are no examples concerning this aspect I could locate. I am currently using the "(live-coding-midi (compile-score...)" with success, but would like the basic example/process/syntax for loading existing MIDI files? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am getting hanging notes in Logic and other DAWS or standalone Instruments when I stop LCI or enable random. Looks like the application is not getting the needed note off. I tried to send "Tools->Midi->All Notes Off" but that did not kill the hanging notes Am I the only one having this problem?

Hi, is there a default volume in DEF-SCORE or live coding, when you don't set :volume ? On every new loop the Plugin-volume I have set (or the preset loaded) gets set back to about 100 . I observed this with Reaktor and Reason connected to IAC BUS 1 (:port 0) . For the instrument I have only set :omn and :port and :channel
