Posted June 10, 20205 yr Hi, I want to make a suggestion for a feature. In Lilypond you have the ability to point on a certain note or other event in the pdf of the score and the same event gets highlighted in the code and vice versa. Would'nt such a function be great in OM? Currently it is a bit of a pain to find a certain point ..? Thanks!
March 1, 20214 yr Author Hi, I've never got a feedback to my old thread. Now I'am working again with Lilypond and find that 'Point& click' feature again so useful!! AFAIK Lilypond is written in scheme which is a lisp derivat, is'nt it, so the chances must be good to implement this..? best ole
March 2, 20214 yr Acording to Janusz, Opusmodus is not graphical oriented. This ensure to us a better compatibility to the crazy software policies of Apple computer. Yes, Lilly permits something like this. Maybe it´s possible ithout compromising the ideia of code based stuff. Best !
March 2, 20214 yr Author I don't think Lilypond is graphical oriented 🙂 And when I remember it correctly that 'point& click' thing also works with Apples own 'Preview'..
March 3, 20214 yr Author It is not about making changes, it is about to spot the right place immediately very quick (in a larger score), which can be hard :-)
March 3, 20214 yr Yes, the code for notes are massive blocks of information. The ideia is pointing some note in the snippet and highlight the correspondent code. This would be to create some link between codes and snippets. But has to be done in a dynamic form... Maype a too much drastic change in the architeture... This could be an auxiliary/optional way of working out code and XML, but maybe not the principal. Something like this (at 1´28)
March 3, 20214 yr Author Hi Julio, I've watched the video above, from 1'28 and then decide to make a small gif to make the point& click feature more clear: best! ole
