Opusmodus - second monitor

Recommended Posts

The upcoming release will allow you to open display-midi, display-musicxml, graphs and snippets in a separate window. For any of you using second monitor this will be great addition to your work flow.

Examples:

(display-midi 'score :display :window)
(display-musicxml 'score :display :window)

Best,

Janusz

Is there perhaps also a way to display the score in a window and start MIDI playback without opening a separate window for the latter? Basically a variant of (audition-musicxml-last-score)? Only if this is easy, but it would help the workflow.

Thanks for providing the extra window.

Best,

Torsten

Could you explain a bit more, I don't understand the use of score window and MIDI playback in the same time.

I found what I needed: the function audition-last-score (called together with display-musicxml).

Thanks for offering help...

I've been working on running OSX on a windows machine using VMWare; works really well! Simple procedure if you follow these steps:
      https://www.pcsteps.com/2157-mac-os-x-virtual-machine-vmware-player/

Wouldn't recommend this setup for OSX applications that really need high performance graphics (using Quartz for example) but for using Opusmodus on a Windows machine this could be a nice option for those not able/wanting to invest in Apple hardware.

If you install rtpMIDI on the windows machine you'll also be able to run your audio software under Windows and connect Opusmodus using MIDI over a virtual network connection.
