there is not much difference between Dorian and Lydian modes, because they are the same notes 😉

in D minor 7 Dorian you have Fmaj7 Lydian, you get D minor 6/9/13 in a way.

I dream of a simple example like:
II V I or III VI II V I or I VI II V I or I IV VII III VI II V I etc etc
in terms of rhythm, eighth notes remain for me the best example for hearing harmonic movements.

 

Hi David, I know that, it was voluntary because I just wanted to keep the consistency of color but small changes with the root movement. And it was just an example, you can use this example as a starting point and use any harmonic structure you wish.
