On my Windows 11 version, Opusmodus no longer launches the score, but there are no issues with MIDI playback.

Hello,

Hello, on my Windows 11 version multilingual, the score/sheet music display has disappeared from all my files, and an error is being reported. I tested this using the example scores from the wizard. However, the "MIDI" display does launch correctly. When I run "Evaluate Score," the following message appears: "Type :bug-form "<subject>" for a bug report template or :? for other options."

And when I search for the score viewer in the assistant, this message appears: "Failed to load the SeeScore library for Notation with error Could not register handle for external module #P"C:/Program Files/Opusmodus/bin/SeeScoreLib.dll" : The specified module could not be found."

I am very frustrated because I am working on an important project. Is it possible to download the previous version of Opusmodus so that I can work? Thanks in advance.

Amitiés.

Didier

My Windows play all files in FR localisation, no problems here.

Maybe you should delete the Opusmodus app from your system and install again.
OR:
1. Compress the Opusmodus folder in your home director first (keep it save).
2. Delete the Opusmodus folder.
3. Start the app, this will install a fresh Opusmodus folder in your home directory.
4. Quit the app.
5. Move your own files from the compressed file to the new Opusmodus folder/subfolders (midi, workspaces, scores etc.).
6. Start the app.

In some cases, antivirus or security software may block the Opusmodus installer or prevent it from completing successfully. If this happens, temporarily pause the protection software or allow Opusmodus through the security prompt, then re-enable protection immediately after installation.

Just to clarify: when I performed the update directly from within Opusmodus—following the recommendation to "check for updates... from the Help Menu"—the update didn't complete successfully; if I recall correctly, a message indicated that the download hadn't finished.

That’s what I did when I realized the update directly within Opusmodus wouldn't work. I downloaded the one from the forum.

Just uploaded ver. 4.0.31898 to test select "Check for updates..."
The application was updated without any errors.
No errors or problems with Notation display.

Something on your CPU is corrupting the app.

I deleted the Opusmodus directory and downloaded the very latest version, but the problem persists. MIDI playback works fine, but I’m still getting the same error messages regarding the score. Toutefois, je note que le "SeeScoreLib.dll" est bien dans le répertoire Bin mais pas dans C/Program Files, l'installateur l'a inséré dans C/Program...

That’s exactly what I was pointing out: I changed the destination to install Opusmodus in Program Files, but it didn't make any difference. Is there another way to proceed so that the file is recognized?

Visual Studio Code is already installed on my computer.

What exactly should I do?

I'm not sure about that...

Hello, it is worth noting that Janusz (Opmo administrator) resolved my issue with the latest multilingual version of Opusmodus. My problem was very frustrating: while the MIDI/piano roll functionality worked fine, the score generation—the actual musical notation—would not display. After several exchanges, Opmo fixed the issue with a new version. I am very grateful to him. I should also add that I have rarely encountered such efficient support. Bravo!
