When recording in cubase Mac all notes stack vertically at the start

When recording in cubase Mac via AIC driver  all notes stack vertically at the start , it might be a cubase setting , in and out of recording modei can hear the sound , any idea . it works fine with Live or Logic but bot in Cubase , i do not understand why .
