June 8, 20242 yr Greetings: I am working with the most recent release of Dorico. Opusmodus .xml output does not fully load in Dorico 5 - only 6 out of 11 measures, for example, the remaining are left blank - empty measures it looks like. The same .xml file does open in the most recent release of Sibelius. It shows all of the measures, but the notation is not "perfect" - as it is rendered better within Opusmodus. The .xml output has been created this way: (compile-score 'section1 :output :musicxml :file "RST/TRIO/172") Not sure if the issue is with the way the .xml is being written within Opusmodus, or if it is an issue with import in the score editor software (Dorico), or if it is an issue with my code. I have not tried this with Finale as of yet. My intuition is that there may be an issue with my Opusmodus code and the output I am creating. This is because other .xml files (using the same code in fact with different parameters) seem to work OK when importing into Dorico. However, what is confusing is that this specific file output looks and sounds perfect in Opusmodus playback yet is clearly "wrong" importing into Dorico! By the way, it seems that xml import in Dorico looks "better" - stems going the right direction (usually) and notes in the right clef (usually) - than it does when importing into Sibelius. Has anyone else had similar issues? If so, what is your work-around?
June 8, 20242 yr No problem from OM, Dorico 5 xml import works very badly . Sibelius, Finale and Musescore import perfectly OM xml files. When I'm working in Dorico, I always import first into Musescore and then into Dorico....
June 8, 20242 yr Author Thank you, Stephane, for confirming my suspicions. I am surprised by the lack of quality in Dorico. It is also good to have the reminder about Musescore.
