RedDot Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 Hi, OM2 had a dark mode, but I can't find it in OM3... Isn't there a dark mode in OM3? If there is, where do I find it? All the best, António Quote
Pli Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 you can right click on the workspace and listener backgrounds and do select colors->background colour Quote
RedDot Posted March 4, 2023 Author Posted March 4, 2023 So, there's no longer any way to set it to dark mode. Quote
Pli Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 I don't know - I never had OM2. Just saying what I did to get something like a dark mode in 3 Quote
RedDot Posted March 4, 2023 Author Posted March 4, 2023 No matter how we set pages up, OM3 windows and panes are in Aqua mode (which wasn't the case with OM2.) I managed to circumvent it with a Terminal command. Quote
opmo Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 The Dark mode is set with the OS and not the OM. Quote
RedDot Posted March 4, 2023 Author Posted March 4, 2023 That depends on the app, as I'm sure you're aware. OM3 (unlike OM2) was set to be in Aqua mode by default, and as such the system's default appearance doesn't apply to it. It was easily solved through a Terminal command. Quote
HenryT Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 The background color settings are not saved. After restart you have to set them again. Quote
RedDot Posted March 4, 2023 Author Posted March 4, 2023 In order for dark mode to apply to OM3, I had to use Terminal. OM3 is in Aqua mode by default, which circumvents system appearance from applying to OM3. Quote

Stephane Boussuge Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 The terminal command is needed on Big-Sur, indeed. Quote

Thanks a bunch!! It's strange though, on the OM front web page we see all in dark mode, yet OM3 is in a mode that defies the system default... Also is that a trial version restriction maybe? Thanks! All best! Quote
