  1. Is there a function in OM which implements a tension level classification according to Hindemith chord classification method? Hindemith WWW.UX1.EIU.EDU Example: Sort the following chords according to their tension class: (chordize (pcs-sub-sets '(2 3 4) (pcs '7-35) :pitch))
  2. I am looking for a function in OM to get for a get-harmonic-path result a list with probabilities say top 5 estimates which scale & root fits (# of notes in scale / # all notes) best the input? I guess all elements are available in OM, I just cant program it.
  3. Does anybody have a fully supported instrument/sound set for Prime ready for sharing?
  4. Thanks Stephane, the possibilities with OM seems infinite, and it shows me I need to study the documentation even more
  5. Is it possible to span multiple consecutive melody notes (i.e half bar) and derive from them the chords?
  6. I did experiment with the code, and I must admit, it is a kind of wonder:-) My hunch is that part of the magic lies in fact that the chords and melody do not 100% have same rhythm thanks to length-weight. I am learning a lot - again thanks a lot.
  7. Great - Thank you Stephane, for taking the time despite of travelling. I will study, based on your pointers.
  8. Seems in other environments there are ideas Just a moment... WWW.RESEARCHGATE.NET Algorithmic composition, a gentle introduction to music
  9. Thank you Julio for your answer.
  10. Beginners question: Starting from a single melodic omn sequence, would it be possible to have function in Opusmodus which calculates a chord progression, which would qualify to harmonize the input. I am aware that this is a underdetermined problem, so the function would require some further inputs constraining the solutions, like harmonic rhythm, size of chords, tonality, mode, interval ( i.e. tertiary, quartal). Even if the solution space is vast, a random solution, which may be fixed with seed would be great. I know about gen-chord… but harmonization spanning multiple melody notes seems more complex. Any thoughts?
  11. Is this still the procedure for v3 ? My folders look different.
  12. Dear @Stephane Boussuge, thx great workflow. Can I also programmatically store the last score as MIDI rather storing opmo files?. I guess this would be great for DAW based music generation workflow.
  13. @opmo any news on this, could you bring in swam set into Opusmodus by default?
  14. @opmo Can you please share it?
  15. I can confirm the same at my end. I had lot of issues viewing the courses I booked, now my viewing status seems lost. The website is really a big downer. Basically not recommendable in this current state.
  16. Dear @JulioHerrlein thank you for your kind and long response. You are really deep into OM and leveraging it as a creative tool and I feel that this is a nice community which hopefully some day I may also contribute. These are helpful pointers to explore further. I am a beginner, so many things in your code are quite beyond my current skills All the Best Cliff
  17. @Stephane Boussuge The new course at this stage cannnot be booked on Safari & Firefox on iPad &Mac, when clicking to add to chard nothing happens. I like all your content, but the whole UI experience on http://www.composerworkshop.com is really not on pari.
  18. I am a OM newbee, so forgive if this already implemented or done before. I understood from the video linked below, that Austbo did compile the colors percieved by Messiaen in a catalogue. He used colors to backtransform them into musical dimensions. I guess this is an obvious usecase for parametric composition, so I am pretty sure someone in the OM community tried this or was inspired by it already. Wanna share your explorations?
  19. As a OM beginner, I really enjoyed the course „Introduction to Opusmodus (level 1)“. One question @Stephane Boussuge: will you post the session script also? Regards Cliff
  20. I subscribed to the course. I like the content very much. But: The way how its displayed is quite tedious when watched on iPad. The browser does not repond when progressing from on session to the next (showing a spinning wheel which idles without progress). The only solution so far I found is to swap from browser to another app and then swap back to the browser. Not a good user experience. @Stephane Boussuge can you reproduce this?
  21. Anybody having experience with Audio Modeling Swam instruments in Opumodus? How to steer modulation via omn articulations and velocity. I am a bit lost.
